Os subgêneros do horror e os corpos periféricos na trilogia Fear Street

Fear Street é uma trilogia de filmes de horror dirigida por Leigh Janiak, lançada pela Netflix em Julho de 2021. A obra traz contribuições para o gênero ao trazer para o protagonismo corpos periféricos subrepresentados no horror e ao se debruçar em temáticas acerca do tratamento de seus corpos na sociedade.  Além disso, sua estrutura e estratégia de lançamento única - um misto de série e coletânea de filmes - permite que Leigh Janiak se debruce sobre imbricamentos e peculiaridades de três diferentes subgêneros: o suburbanismo fantástico, o slasher e o gótico estadunidense. No presente artigo, nos aprofundaremos, a partir da crítica genérica e feminista, em como Fear Street subverte expectativas dos seus espectadores ao transitar entre diferentes subgêneros e ao seu pautar em perspectivas subretratadas pelo cinema hegemônico.
