As Histórias em Quadrinhos (HQ) e o Cinema sempre se influenciaram mutuamente, sobretudo quando os desenhos têm estilo acadêmico, rigorosos na reprodução do mundo real. No início dos anos 80, tais tipos de HQ, conhecidas como "clássicas", ganharam destaque, em Pernambuco, nos gêneros faroeste, terror e, especialmente, erótico. O presente trabalho faz um resgate histórico e estético dessa explosão, já que hoje não mais se produz HQ clássicas no Estado.
