Este texto apresenta Jesus Martin Barbero e seu projeto por uma comunicação alternativa.

Na América Latina, continente com desníveis sócio-econômicos culturais abismais, Jesus Martin Barbero tenta criar um novo modelo hegemônico de regulação social que gere equilíbrio social entre uma burguesia cosmopolita e uma massa de indigentes.
