Thematic Dossier Proposal

The dossier must have an inter-institutional nature and address themes of relevance to the field of Communication, in order to broaden the academic debate, foster research exchanges, and/or deepen training experiences in research and/or teaching.
The evaluation of the dossier proposal takes place in two stages, both carried out through the online system of Revista Intercom.
In the first stage, a dossier abstract/scope must be entered into the platform, including the names and institutional identification of the proponents (a maximum of three, at least two of whom must hold a doctoral degree), as well as the titles of the full papers, authors, and institutional affiliation. In this first stage, the full articles should not be submitted.
The dossier proposal must mandatory include:
  • Brief dossier abstract/scope;
  • Relevance of the proposed theme to the field of Communication;
  • Thematic axis of the dossier: the papers must be centered around a well-defined theme proposed by the organizer(s);
  • Title and abstract of each article, with full names of authors and institutional affiliation: it is recommended that the articles be authored by researchers from institutions that are not repeated within the same dossier (between 5 and 10 articles per dossier);
  • Person(s) responsible for the dossier: name, institution, and email (up to three people, at least two of whom must hold a doctorate);
  • Once the proposal is approved, the full articles that make up the dossier must be submitted to the platform and will undergo peer review, following the journal's standard procedure (double-blind, at a minimum);
  • Compliance with the publication and bibliographical standardization guidelines (references and citations) already described in the Instructions for Authors.
Submissions of the papers that make up the dossier must be registered directly in the system, according to the guidelines in "Online Submission". Submissions via email will not be accepted. Each author must complete the Declaration of Originality and attach it to the manuscript at the time of submission.
System identification: in the metadata title field, start the title with the word "Dossier", followed by the first name of the person responsible and the title of each paper. Example: Dossier_Name_Title of the Paper.
