Open source journalism e cidadania: Centro de Mídia Independente Brasil

Discute-se o que se convencionou chamar de open source journalism e a sua relação com o exercício da cidadania, na produção e no gerenciamento da informação pública, enquanto matéria jornalística. A análise tem como objeto o Centro de Mídia Independente Brasil, e confronta a prática que se faz no CMI com a teoria da ação pessoal, enfocando o paradigma do gatekeeping, e com os critérios de noticiabilidade a partir da hipótese do newsmaking, buscando verificar o processo evolutivo do jornalismo na rede mundial de computadores. Abstract The so-called Open Source Journalism and its relationship to the exercise of citizenship are discussed, regarding the production and management of public information as journalistic articles. The object of this analysis is the Centro de Mídia Independente Brasil. This study confronts the general practice found at CMI with the personal action theory. It also focuses the gatekeeping paradigm, taking into account the noticiability criteria based on the newsmaking hypothesis, trying to verify the journalism evolutionary process in the internet. Resumen Se discute lo que se acordó llamar open source journalism, y su relación con el ejercicio de la ciudadanía, en la producción y gestión de la información pública como objeto periodístico. El análisis tiene como objeto el Centro de Media Independiente Brasil, y confronta la práctica que se hace en el CMI con la teoría de la acción personal, enfocando el paradigma del gatekeeping, y con los criterios de noticiabilidad a partir de la hipótesis del newsmaking, buscando verificar el proceso evolutivo del periodismo en la red mundial de computadoras.
