Abstract

O artigo trata dos fatores que dificultam o relacionamento entre jornalistas científicos e cientistas e mostra que as estratégias jornalísticas de supressão de informações, tradução de termos técnicos, uso de analogias e sensacionalismo não são aceitas pelos cientistas. Isto contribui para que os cientistas se mostrem reticentes à divulgação em massa de suas pesquisas. O estudo demonstra ainda que a insistência dos pesquisadores em ler a matéria antes da publicação e a resistência dos jornalistas em mostrá-la são fatores que dificultam o relacionamento entre eles.
