Palabras-clave: interculturalidad; religión, medios de comunicación; tedio. Abstract The author starts at the expansion of media in the Islamic world. He shows that the critics to the cross-cultural, cultural and political domination reproduce arguments conceived by Western world intellectuals. The central issue is: why is western media, which supposedly transmits another culture, widely accepted? The answer points out at the anti-boredom function of media, disguised by the background of its decline in religious practice in the face of the growth of worldly anti-boredom activities. Keywords: cross-cultural; religion, media, boredom.Downloads
