Abstract

O objetivo do texto é atualizar a discussão sobre a radionovela e mostrar sua importância para a formação da telenovela brasileira. De sua história recuperam-se origens, autores e atores que influíram decisivamente, padrões de produção que marcaram, ao menos no início, o trabalho em televisão e, sobretudo, a matriz melodramática, responsável pela continuidade do gênero no novo veículo.
